Playing Catch Up (Again)

Camile, Me, Steph, and Gina modeling our "ugly sweaters" (check our that pretty shirt under mine)

Blake won the most likely to wear again award & Conner won most sparkly (his had Dalmatians and hearts all over it and it was glittery)

Mom & Dad

We had a wonderful Christmas. We stayed home this year. It's only the second time since we've been married that Jimmy and I haven't been in either Oregon or Idaho. It was a lot of fun to be in our own home and have family come HERE. On Christmas Eve, we had an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party with my family. It was fun seeing what people came up with and then finding things for those who didn't come with anything ugly on. We had a great dinner, a nice nativity story and a fun gift exchange. At the end we opened PJ's and said good-bye to everyone but my parents and Steph spent the night.

Conner started coming in our room at 5 am and said he couldn't sleep. (he woke up Kali shortly there after) We told the kids they had to wait 'til 7. We still waited until 7 and since Sophie was still sleeping we went down without her. The kids were excited about their presents from Santa. Their big gift this year was a Wii. It's been on their list for a couple years now. We've had fun playing it together.

Christmas afternoon, we went to Jimmy's grandma's rest home and had a party with some of his aunts, uncles and cousins. It was great being able to see both sides of the family on Christmas- that's a first for us.

The kids have been having a great break. They have made a sled hill in between our house and our neighbors and it goes into another neighbors back yard. They've also been working on a huge snow fort. I've managed to only miss two days working out (I always take Sunday off, and I missed Christmas and once this week). I am still feeling great and my belly is popping out more. We'll find out the end of this week what we are having (hopefully, although I am already planning on a girl)

We had a fun New Years' Eve. We hung out with our neighbors (the Fishers), got Wingers take out, watched a movie, played Guitar Hero, ate ice cream and counted down the New Year with some Sparkling Apple Cider.

This week we started on our basement. The framing is almost done and we are hoping in about a month we'll have the rest done.
Tomorrow we start going to church at 9. The kids are bathed, their clothes are laid out, and now I need to do the same. Jimmy has meetings in the morning so I'll be going solo getting everyone ready. Sophie starts Sunbeans tomorrow! She is so little still- I can't believe it! She had an activity at the church to meet her teachers and after I went to show her her classroom and all she could say when she saw the empty room was "where are the toys?" This should be interesting.

Sounds like a fun New Year's Eve with your neighbors.

I wish that Ellie was going into Sunbeams. She hasn't been very excited about nursery since we've been here (still not used to all the new people). But, she went to Sunbeams once with Carly and loved it (probably because she was with Carly). It's crazy that Sophie and Ellie are so close in age, but Ellie will still have another year in Sunbeams. Oh well. I wouldn't care so much if Ellie just liked nursery more.

We definitely need to make our way out there again before the sled hill is melted - sounds awesome! Is it too extreme for Carly and Ellie?

p.s. I love that picture of Sophie at the bottom! What a little cutie pie!

p.s. I meant to say that Ellie still has another year of nursery, not sunbeams. oops.

Oh yeah, also, that is so awesome that you have been so dedicated to working out during this pregnancy. Way to go!

How was sunbeams for Sophie? Sadie loved it. She calls it "Sunbeeps." So cute. I was worried about the transition, but luckily, one of her nursery leaders got released and then called as the sunbeams teacher. Whew!

Oh, P.S., I finally commented on all of your posts from the last few months. You'll have to go back a page to read 'em all. Sorry I've been such a bad blog-reading friend! Christmas time is so stinkin' busy. Heck, having three kids is what's really killing me! I can't get used to it, and it's been seven months!!!

Hey Ang, I think your Ugle Sweater Party is a great idea, mind if I use it? I bet it was really nice to be able to spend Christmas at home. By the way I need to come and see your "new" home. I can't believe I haven't been out there to see you yet! You have my admiration with your dedication to excercising while pregnant!
