My parents wanted to go on a camping trip for a family reunion this summer. Jimmy brought up a house boat at Lake Powell and that got looked into and then my parents started looking into something closer. So what started out an idea for a humble camping trip ended up a mansion in Park City. We had a great time!
Highlights include:
-hiking
-boating (two days)
-Oreo eating contest without using hands & laying down
-jelly belly spitting contest
-cheese ball & shaving cream contest
-Karaoke
-poker with starbursts
-lots of great meals
-treasure hunts
-hot tubing
-great devotionals morning and night
-playing pool
-pictures of Blake that Steph hung up all around the house
-getting eaten alive by mosquito's during our family pictures
-Emma & Kali performing a dance I taught them
Because of some issues with the house, they offered to let us come again! So we went the first weekend of Nov. We had just done some neat things as a family for Blake's one year anniversary since his death and it was great to get away and spend some more time together as a family.
Some highlights from the second trip included:
-sledding
-movies
-watching a beautiful snow storm (that made it really scary getting back down the hill)
-great devotionals morning and night from the General Conference edition of the Ensign
